On October 23, Jo Fuqua, Secretary of ASCA and Doug Everhart, a long time member traveled to Kisakata to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Sister City relationship between Anacortes and Kisakata. One of the highlights of the trip was the planting of Northwestern Evergreen trees. Doug was a member of the delegation that made the first trip to Kisakata in 1993. Jo and Doug were also treated to many sights of the beautiful city of Kisakata and the surrounding area.
